Wheel problem?

1931 Ford Vicky, very stock. Driver’s side front wheel looks like it wobbles 1/2”+ when turned, but is tight on the brake hub. Is the wheel bent? When jacked up, nothing is loose. Suggestions?

I would pull the wheel off and put the spare on and spin it to see if it runs true. Also check to see if the tire is mounted correctly and doesn't have a flat spot from not moving and under inflation caused by cold weather.

If it is bent, most can be fairly easily straightened and trued. Can you see any bent/missing spokes? Any damage to the rim of the wheel that you can see?

Jack it up and place something up against the tire, on the side. Slowly rotate the tire and see if the wheel/tire shows out of round. I usually just stand a ball peen hammer for this test, standing on the flat part of the hammer head.

Yep, bent rim - common problem on old wheels. Many harsh impacts over 90 years.
