Please Identify Stop Light Switch

2 Attachment(s)
This switch was in a truck load of "A" parts that I bought. I'm sure it is not for a model A. Can someone identify what make of vehicle and what year it is for.
Thanks in advance, Dave

That looks like a Model "A" stop light switch variant with different mounting provisions. I would remove those mount flanges and add one l;ike the Model "A" switch has.

Could be from the later V8 era.

No brass bushings on the switch actuator would indicate it is a reproduction part.
I've not seen one with mounting flanges like that. Ford V8 thru about 38 had mounting tabs on one side. Maybe not a Ford part ?

All sorts of switches have been used over the years. Each time a switch failed, it was replaced with whatever was available at that location at that time.
We have to be creative with every brake light switch. Eg, the ones that bolt to the top of the gearbox are pretty useless here.
IMO, that switch has a future in a Model A.

It's similar to those used in the mid 30s Fords. Ford used mechanical brakes longer than most so they used the mechanical switches longer as well but most can be found in reproduction form. There were other companies that used similar types. That particular one may be a universal fit type but I don't know for certain.

Is this a name or part number?

It reads "Pull On".
