Yesterday I received a happy birthday wish from Fordbarn! So, I wrote a response. Then I realized my note probably went to the computer never, never land.
So here it is
Thanks so much for the wish. At 83 I am still busy in my shop and driving our 46 every week. My shop is heated with a pellet stove so we drive it all winter locally as long as the roads are dry and not salted. Some of our local family will be here for turkey day.
Since the grass has stopped growing my next shop project is to replace the mower blade shafts on the wife's John Deere. Had the snow blower in the shop last week to get it ready for a New England winter.
Also....the court has granted our adoption of a 10 year old foster girl! Also our great grand daughter and the last 2 1/2 years our foster child. So we are going to be too busy to grow old and with the Lord's help and an arthritis pill every morning we will make it.

Happy Birthday! Congratulations on formally having your Great Granddaughter, chasing the boys away will keep you young. Sorry to hear you aren't heading south for winters for awhile. Hang in there and happy to hear the 46 is still going strong. LouB.

Happy Birthday John. What a great thing to do, As they say you can't take wealth with you. But you can enjoy your wealth when you are here and enjoy it by bringing joy to others through guidance and structure. You are a blessed person and the youth will challenge you to stay young!
