Mouse smell

Does anyone have a secret formula for getting the mouse smell out of a pickup? All the fabric, rubber. Etc, is removed. Just metal body to deal with.

Re: Mouse smell

I think a citrus based cleaner may be your best bet, it’s a nasty smell to get rid of.

Try clorine the kind they use for pools and much stronger than store brand Clorox.

Once all cleaned out with a cleaner of choice, there's a product called "Nilodor" that will get rid of the smell. Comes in a little bottle of concentrate, use a few drops in a spray bottle of water and spritz around.

My wife had an old pissy dog and cat. The enzyme stuff was a marriage saver.

Chanel #5. A highly complex fragrant blend of flower oils including rose, jasmine, lily & iris. Mixed with a warm base of sandalwood, vanilla, amber and patchouli oils. This stink coverup satisfies Chanel's request that it smell like a bunch of flowers instead of just one. Claimed to make any mouse smell more tolerable. 8^)

Re: Mouse smell

It'll dissipate over time. Keep it open and aired out. Lot of good suggestions and solutions.

Fragrance is like taking a big dump in a small bathroom and spraying some fragrance.

Re: Mouse smell

Put an open cookie sheet with used coffe grounds on it - that will take away the mouse-house smell.
THEN - put a bar of Irish Spring soap under the seat & under the hood - that'll keep the varmits from setting up house in the future...

I bought a used pickup that reeked to high heaven last year. After trying everything to mask the smell with cleaners that didn't work, I bought an Enerzen high capacity commercial ozone generator. Stuck that in the truck and let it run several cycles and it no longer stinks.

Odo-ban. Eucalyptus based cleaner. It is amazing.

Vinegar is my other thought. To be followed by bleach.

Best of luck.
