Stall on incline My 29 (with '28 engine) stalls when I am on an incline. This is Chicago so there are no hills. At very slow movement, as in parking, if I am on a bit of a slope the car stalls. I assume this is a carb issue. New fuel line, so that's not an issue. Any input?

Re: Stall on incline Have you checked the float level?

Re: Stall on incline Sounds like something I should check. Thanks.

Re: Stall on incline crap around the base of the tank, where it feeds the fuel line.

Agree float level!!!

Re: Stall on incline Check the screen in the carburetor. It's in the fitting where the fuel line attaches. You obviously have a restriction somewhere in the line. Check the sediment bowl, too. the originals can get rust and other crud that won't come out the drain hole.

Re: Stall on incline A restriction should also affect top speed so look at the float level first.
