Stall on incline

My 29 (with '28 engine) stalls when I am on an incline. This is Chicago so there are no hills. At very slow movement, as in parking, if I am on a bit of a slope the car stalls. I assume this is a carb issue. New fuel line, so that's not an issue. Any input?

Have you checked the float level?

Check the screen in the carburetor. It's in the fitting where the fuel line attaches. You obviously have a restriction somewhere in the line. Check the sediment bowl, too. the originals can get rust and other crud that won't come out the drain hole.

Gas line in carb, to far in against screen restricting a good flow?

Re: Stall on incline

A restriction should also affect top speed so look at the float level first.
