Cab installation

I’m getting ready to put the cab on 1940 ford 1/2 ton. Any one have any tips or techniques they would recommend? Also should I treat the cab mounts since they are wood?

Treat the mounts nice. They wood like that. Don't know about 40 but my 35s were/are untreated.

Re: Cab installation

Get some Minwax ebony wood finish.
Closest to what Ford used originally.

You will need at least 5 (five) able bodies to lift the cab. Suggest that you place it moving from the rear to the front, since you may have the steering sector in place or the engine installed.
Of course, mount the cab before the box.
