Removing '35 Dash Light Switch

Did a search and could not find an answer.
Is the switch removed by squeezing in the tabs on the side and pushing switch out from behind? I want to remove the switch with out any destruction.

Yes, squeezing in on those two tabs at the same time and pushing out on the switch body from behind the dash will bring the switch out. Be very careful doing this, since that switch seems to be fragile, and can be difficult to find, and expensive to replace if/when you do find a good one.
There have been fairly recent posts on removing these switches, and I believe someone suggested using a small "ideal" type hose clamp to compress those tabs enough to allow removal.

Hey, thanks. Using a hose clamp was going to be my next move but, I wanted to be sure I was on the right path.
