52 F1 LMC or Dennis Carpenter fenders Reviews How are LMC 52 F1 front and rear fenders quality and fit?
I hear a lot of bad reviews on the internet. |
Re: 52 F1 LMC or Dennis Carpenter fenders Reviews Haven't used them, but do use a lot of LMC stuff. No complaints.

Re: 52 F1 LMC or Dennis Carpenter fenders Reviews I picked up a set of rears for a 51 from Carpenters for a friend and they were top quality and fit great with no modifications.

Re: 52 F1 LMC or Dennis Carpenter fenders Reviews LMC is selling the DC fenders, right?

Re: 52 F1 LMC or Dennis Carpenter fenders Reviews I don’t think anyone makes fenders in
the states anymore - just how things are. But - having met Daniel Carpenter earlier this year - having been around the company headquarters for several days - having talked to several employees about how they liked Mr. Dennis ( Carpenter ) ….. I wouldn’t buy anywhere else. That is a honest family owned & operated business. Jim |

Re: 52 F1 LMC or Dennis Carpenter fenders Reviews JSeery what is your experience?

Re: 52 F1 LMC or Dennis Carpenter fenders Reviews If your original fenders are workable, I would invest the time and money to make them work. I bought the new fenders when they first came out and they wouldn’t bolt up to the original inner fender or the repro inner fenders. The crown was wrong. I had to start over with the originals, which turned out really nice.
There is an old thread over on FTE that teaches you to make your own patches. It’s a great write-up. JB |

Re: 52 F1 LMC or Dennis Carpenter fenders Reviews “ NOS “ as in New Old Stock ?
If you are wanting new old stock then you should only be buying at a swap meet or from a private party in person where you can lay eyes on them in person. Anything you buy off the internet that is NOS is a roll of the dice - paying shipping both ways is what you do when you chose to roll the dice …. Dennis Carpenter would buy up new old stock parts from dealers he visited as well as swap meets and private collections. They are not crooks - they are in business to stay in business. I think the OP of this thread was asking for feedback about repop fenders ….. Jim |
