'29 Coupe Rumble Grab Handles

Anyone have mounting measurements as to exactly where they mount?
Prefer not to drill holes in the wrong location! :(

Not sure what is going on but the rumble seat on this coupe may have one time been a trunk coupe?

The "grab" handles were used on Roadsters to rest the top on when down. However many have added them as you wish to.

Well the irony is wherever you drill holes and place the Top Rests, those holes will be wrong to some ...and correct by you. As mentioned above, these were not used on Closed cars from the factory, -so they would be considered an accessory now on your car. My suggestion is have your passenger sit in the Rumble seat and clutch one of the Top Rests in their hand. Wherever it seems most comfortable to hold will likely be the best place to install them.

On roadster bodies there is a reinforcing piece attached on the underside of the
quarter panel. Something you might consider if putting them on a coupe.

The giveaway on my car was philips head screws on the rear floor panel, #10 clinch nuts in place of #12 D-nuts to hold it together and missing pads at the top corners of the drip edge.

IMHO the "handles" don't belong on a coupe, but I can see they would assist entry/exit. Rumble seat is a ridiculous idea anyway; trunk more practical. But I have what I have, too much bother to undo.

Well, thanks all, I did not know that only roadsters had them. Certainly explains why they are not there! :)
Thinking they were missing and now finding out they're not, I guess I can do without them as I do not use the rumble seat for passengers anyway.
