6 volt bulbs 2 Attachment(s)
Found some 6 volt LED bulbs that were a direct replacement.
|
Re: 6 volt bulbs I also fitted some 6 volt LED bulbs to my original gauges in my 34 FORD. The original bulbs were very dull to my old eyes but the little LEDs fixed that. Make sure the LEDs are suitable to POS. or NEG ground to suit your car. Some are OK with both polarities. Regards, Kevin.

Re: 6 volt bulbs Thanks Ken for sharing your knowledge - shedding light on a dim subject.

Re: 6 volt bulbs Nice to know about the LED bulbs. I'll get some. To solve the staggered pins problem I've always just ground the offending pin. Worked for me.

Re: 6 volt bulbs Thanks for posting Ken, for those who might also have a Model T/A logolites have some very nice LED headlight either for +/- ground.
Check out logolights.com |
Re: 6 volt bulbs Amazon also has 6 volt 1156 bulbs with the in-line pins.

Re: 6 volt bulbs Hi,
I assume these are not polarity sensitive? Thanks Steve |

Re: 6 volt bulbs LEDs make a big difference. I bought different ones from superbrightled.com a few years ago, however I believe the cheap China made product overheated and caused the bulb to burst and fail. Just something to keep an eye on to make sure they hold up.

Re: 6 volt bulbs Ken did you use red or white like the originals. These bulbs should be much cooler than the originals. Did you notice the difference?

While lighting is waaaaaaaaaay down the road on my 1950 Fordor, I was hoping I could find LED replacements . |
