1939 column lock

I have a 39 pickup and the column lock works. Issue is the leaver that turn the ign on or off is broken and removed. It is damaged where it attaches. Does anyone sell new levers and how is it held in place. Can it be repaired without removing the entire column from the truck.

The column drop will need to be removed and disassembled to repair it.

which is not a lot of fun but can be done. This repair has been documented a lot on this you, so I suggest a search of the subject so you can see what you're up against.

I have saved a few searches but most deal with key cylinder problems. I haven't seen any on the lever repair.

Just wanted to say that if your toggle lever is broken , I have never seen or at least don't remember seeing that part available . The link deuce lover sent you has good pics that show the inner workings of the toggle and the pin on back side that actually moves the switch in the box that is mounted on the back side of column. Replacement is doable if you can find one. I think purchasing the one he shared might be your best bet . I have seen various years of the very part you probably need but the 39 seems harder to find . You can do a hack job as far as the switch goes with some over the counter modern gismo but if your are like me , you want it the way it was.

I need part number 81A-3712 ignition switch housing case. I can find retros up to 1937 but they do not cross over. Anyone have one available?
