Re: Ecklers no more HOPEFULLY Mike at Third Gen Automotive has what you need......ALWAYS my first look or call. Should NOW hopefully be yours!!!! JMO THEN "IF" Mike doesn't have it try Yesteryear Ford Parts up in Minn. Dave Grogh (Spelling)

Re: Ecklers no more MICHAEL at Third Gen is the third generation Driskell to wear the coveralls. We all know
Michael was not flipping burgers last week like so many 'order takers' elsewhere. When I 86'd the rear end in my '32 he had the funky differential goodies I needed.....still in cosmolene. Charlie ny |
Re: Ecklers no more Add "Southside Obsolete" to that list. They are also in Minnesota and the owner is a member here : "barnfind08". He has a lot of odd NOS stuff; things you wouldn't think anyone has.

Re: Ecklers no more Isn't there a list of the "Good" vendors somewhere on this Forum? Maybe it should be published a bit better?
|
Re: Ecklers no more YES,third gen auto is fantastic! Someone that actually understands what your looking for,Mikes great
|
Re: Ecklers no more I called Ecklers a while back looking for 66" wide, Cobra Grain material for Woodie, Station Wagon roof's. The person I talked to did not have a clue what I was looking for. After several attempts to get them to understand the difference between 66" width and 54" width material I gave up. They actually told me that I could stretch the 54" material and it would work.

Re: Ecklers no more Add Joe's Antique Auto to the list of good guys.
|
Re: Ecklers no more I second the notion for JOE's Antique Auto. great guy to deal with and doesn't screw ya on shipping

Re: Ecklers no more Anyone who has been on this forum for while, or even been in the hobby for while should know enough to support the good vendors. It always comes down to the "cheap price" that sucks people in. I am as cheap as anybody, but learned my lesson on cheap parts 50 years ago buying from JC Whitney when I was a kid. its no different today!

Re: Ecklers no more Customer service????? You cannot get anyone to answer!! Everything is voice messaging. 2 days of calling and cannot contact anyone. So much potential for a company that is being run so poorly. Pleeeze, dont blame covid for this one
|
Re: Ecklers no more The difference is the recommended vendors here love and understand old Fords. The rest are just in in for the money -they would be just as happy selling hotdogs if the money was right and it shows

Re: Ecklers no more I am brand new to all these folks but the Ecklers thing irritated me from day two. Ok had a good discussion with a lady there on day one. Been straight vertical drop since then! They are not high on my list, just do to the very very poor phone service! Sorry to be negative. The positive side is, maybe they can get better and actually help someone in the hobby!

Re: Ecklers no more I’m new to this old car stuff, I’ve only had my ‘39 for a little over a year. Some of the vendors mentioned in this thread I haven’t heard of. Is there a sticky for vendors? It would be useful to have a resources section for us newb’s.
