Rear Wheel Bearing Question

Does anyone know where I can find the factory spec for the OD of the wheel bearing surface in the rear axle housing ?

I’m trying to decide whether or not I need to have a new bearing surface pressed on, as the original surface doesn’t look very worn. I’m measuring about 2.620” on each side.

Thanks - Jim

Never mind - just found the spec on Bratton’s site (2.061 to 2.063”). My measurement is actually 2.062”, so I don’t need to replace the bearing surfaces at this point.

Re: Rear Wheel Bearing Question

Glad you found your answer. I have found that it is very hard to mess up rear wheel bearings on a Model A so long as they are kept greased. Most everybody just reuses them.
