Stock Ride Height Good day! I am wondering if anyone has a reference on stock ride heights for a 1928 Tudor, as well as measurement points? Thank you.

Re: Stock Ride Height Hi Mark,
Les Andrews' book "Model A Ford Mechanics Handbook Vol. I" says 18-11/16 +/- 1/2 inch to the CENTER of the front bumper to ground for a 1928 or 29 and 18-1/2 +/- 1/2 for a 1930 or 31. Measure with tires fully inflated to 35 psi. He does not give a similar measurement for the rear. Differences in tire size from different manufactures can change the heights. |
Re: Stock Ride Height Hi Mark: This is all that's out there for measurement. You should have a 1/2" between the bottom of the front Shackle and the Axle. I haven't been able to find a Riding height measurement on any of the frame charts that I've found. Being a body and frame guy this drives me crazy!! JP

Re: Stock Ride Height Dyke's lists the ground clearance as 9 inches.

Re: Stock Ride Height There you go. Thanks Bob, It's been noted. I'll be working on my car tomorrow so I'll see what measurment this is. Axle clearance or height from the frame to the ground. JP
