paint colors available

Looking for what paint colors were used on Late 1930 pickups
I see a lot of dark blue but don't see that listed in any book
Also wheel colors for that year

Also check 31’s for late year colors.

Wheel colors would have been black unless you ordered a different color or had the dealer change them.

Pickups were considered commercial not passenger, so as the above chart shows, that is where you would need to look.

Powder coating vs spraying wheels , Does the powder coating look as nice, I am sure it holds up better.

I have found that powder coating is extremely overrated. It might hold up a little better but you cannot touch it up like you can spraying. I have seen Model A wheels with it and it is duller than spraying. The other issue is all of the body work that has to be done to the wheels can only be done with special filler and primer that won't come up when subjected to the heat of the powder coating process. I have seen a lot of pitted powder coated wheels from this issue. I think it ruins a great car. Do it the harder but right way and spray them. There is a process to doing it.
