Best Windshield Wiper Blade? Anyone have a suggestion for a good wiper blade for the A?
I know many of them flop and float in the wind and provide very poor wiping motion while in use. I have an elec 6v motor and I'm looking for a good clean sweeping blade. If I have to modify the arm, that's Ok. Getting caught in a shower or downpour is not fun with a wiper that for all intense and purposes doesn't work! I know, Rainex is your friend but for me, a good blade is better! |
Re: Best Windshield Wiper Blade? It is the arm spring tension that makes the blade work properly. Analyze the faults there for good wiping action.

Re: Best Windshield Wiper Blade? Make sure that your windows are surfaced with Rainex! More often than not I don’t need the wipers! Rainex does the job!

Re: Best Windshield Wiper Blade? J Franklin....thanks. I'll check into that. I get good lower coverage but the top is lacking.
J McMimmcs.....Rainx is Ok but I hope to get the blade to do better. As mentioned above, the lower half is really good. It's the upper half giving me grief. |
Re: Best Windshield Wiper Blade? You take it out in the rain??:)Paul in CT

Re: Best Windshield Wiper Blade? 1931 flamingo.......not intentionally but I have been caught more than once around these parts. Our summers here are short which makes for short Model A or Hot Rod drive time. So, unless I know in advance of a storm, I'm out in it!

Re: Best Windshield Wiper Blade? Ditto on Rainex spray; wipers best use seems to be ornamental.

Re: Best Windshield Wiper Blade? There are different wiper blades for different wiper arms. I had to buy a couple of different ones to find the one that fit my wiper arm.
