Radial tires

I have a two part question. First. Can a radial tubeless tire be mounted on a ‘35 16” spoked wheel? Second. If not, can you put a tube in a tubeless radial tire. Thank you all in advance.

Yes and Yes.

Has been discussed several times on the Early V8 section, once not very long ago. If you can't find with a search, post again over there and you'll get lots of info, opinions, etc.

Yes, and your car will ride, handle and stop better than with bias ply/rag tires. With mechanical brakes its like having ABS.. Its hard to skid the tires with the brakes.

Re: Radial tires

If you do put a tube in a radial tire, be sure to use a tube designed for a radial tire. They are thicker and will stand the increased flexing of the side wall of the radial tire. Who ever you buy your radial tires from will probably also have the correct tubes.
