Removing Windshield Frame from 1934 Tudor

My original windshield glass is delaminating and needs replacement.
It seemed simple enough. Remove the two screws that hold the crank-out scissors from the frame and remove the 6 screws that hold the two top hinges to the frame. Once I did that both top hinges are stuck to the frame.
I cannot pry them off without bending the hinge. This is an original car so the assembly was done in 1934 at the factory. Were the hinges spot welded to the frame? The car is in very good original condition with no visible rust. What am I missing?

Yes they are spot welded to the frame. Those windshield brackets are attached with 2 screws on each side to the actual hinges. You need to remove the side garnish mouldings and the header panel w/visors and rear view mirror to get access to those hinges.

Only that it is heavy and it is best done with two pairs of hands. Also pad the top of the cowl to avoid paint damage, just in case.
