Any luck with paint from tcp? Just wondering if anyone has tried the automotive paint from tcp supply? I need a quart of vagabond green. I called the local ppg supplier and they told me a quart would be $273.00 however i did find that tcp, a online paint supply has vagabond green available for 1/3 the price. My only concern is obviously the quality of this paint. Has anyone used paint from tcp and/or does anyone know of a supplier that might be more affordable than ppg?

Re: Any luck with paint from tcp? I used TCP paint on my 29RPU. I'm very happy with it. I've used their polyester and epoxy primers as well as their acrylic urethane. I encountered no drawbacks whatsoever. I get a lot of compliments and questions of what I used.

Re: Any luck with paint from tcp? I've used TCP acrylic enamel. Colors were not spot on, but the paint was good to work with.

Re: Any luck with paint from tcp? I used TCP Restoration Shop paint on a closed cab pickup. The body Rock Moss Green was single stage acrylic urethane and the black was single stage acrylic enamel. Hardener was used with both. Both types of paint sprayed great and flowed out very nicely. Of the two types I believe I liked the enamel a little better. It's been 5 years since the paint job and there have been no issues with fading, chipping or adhesion. I definitely recommend it for the price.

Re: Any luck with paint from tcp? TCP is excellent.
I have had several cans of spray paint made from their paint with excellent results. |
Re: Any luck with paint from tcp? I used single stage polyurethane on my Chevrolet Z/28 Camaro wheels. The match was far closer than the PPG paint, and cost me much less. They sell a great product. I was very happy with their products and will order from them in the future.

Re: Any luck with paint from tcp? TCP has a vast collection of paint chip books also so they can mix up anything. I would suggest you keep records of the mix formula, as they have on occasion changed some formulas. I had to go back months later for more paint, and they had changed the formula. The original black i used was a lot less black months later. I went back, and found they changed the formula so it was not as black. They without hesitation mixed up the initial formula - no charge for the new gallon, and I got to keep the other gallon for other things.
