cabs 1940- 1941 can some one tell me if the 1940 and 1941 1/2 ton pickups have the same cab thanks Tom

Re: cabs 1940- 1941 yes, the only difference is the 40 cab has a raised area in the middle of the dash for the cast Ford script, the cabs to 1947 had a flat area with two holes for a Ford badge. 42 to 47 had a different seat, instead of sitting on the gas tank you sat above it on a frame surround. a few other differences in 42/47 are the mounting holes/brackets for the fenders

Basically identical. Two minor differences are the holes in windshield frame for the heater nozzles became larger in 1941 to fit the later nozzles. A second difference is the stamping of dash center is different because the dash center trim is different. The 40 uses a script 'Ford" and the 41 uses a rectangular piece with Ford script....... Perhaps some minor differences on the firewall but I am not sure. That should do it..... |
Re: cabs 1940- 1941 Many thanks Guys for the info, Tom

Re: cabs 1940- 1941 The access covers in the doors for 1940 are held by 5 screws while the covers for the 41 thru 47 doors are held by 8 screws.
