41 ford sedan vent window glass help I'm in the process of installing new molded vent window seals and new vent window glass. I know how to install the glass, however I noticed that the rubber(?) that the glass sits in is weathered and cracked. Where can I find that part? What is it called? Also any tips on installing the molded vent window rubber?
Thanks Matt |

Re: 41 ford sedan vent window glass help I think that what you are looking for is glass setting tape. I got some from Restoration Specialties. It comes in different thicknesses.
I also found that the new vent window rubber isn't quite as thick as the original leaving a gap to the paint on the door. The rubber I used came with new rivits, it is quite a little project. |
Re: 41 ford sedan vent window glass help Yes glass setting tape. C&G and the like have it. Set in the frame by bending the stuff around the edges of the glass and trim off the excess with a box cutter.
