The second diagram in post #2 is showing a 37-41 distributor. For the 32-36 distributor as requested by the original poster, the firing order is the same but the inner caps are rotated 90 degrees from those of the 37-41 distributor. Check the diagrams on Van Pelt Sales to see what I mean

MGG,

Study that 32-36 diagram carefully. How can the distributor fire #1 then #5?

(Very few guys take the time to figure out how the rotor and cap design work to produce the firing order.)

((Remember which way the distributor rotates.))

Just don't rely on the 32-36 diagram on the Van Pelt Sales website. As MGG pointed out, it is incorrect.
