Correct horn rod push button tension spring...

I have two types of horn rod push button tension springs.

One is a barrel type spring, the other is a tapered spring.

Both could be used to keep the horn push button from coming in contact with the area to Ahooga the horn when not pressed.

Which is original and correct to use?

Thanks.

Guten Morgen Pluck,

under my horn button (1928, 7-tooth) was a barrel-shaped coil spring.
But I can not say that this is original, because it could be seen that the button was previously opened.
