1953 f-100 power steering
 

Looking at putting power steering in my 53 f-100, problem getting A bracket to mount pump on the flathead v8 , also would like to keep original steering column with column shift , anyone do this on 53 F-100, thanks

While not exactly a 53 F100, I have installed power steering on 2 side steer cars using an early (60's) Nash cylinder. These have a linear control valve built in so you do not have to mess with the steering box. Both of the cars I did had flathead engines so I mounted the pump on a side mount generator bracket.
Some late 50's and 60's era Fords had steering cylinders with linear control valves also.

There was a guy in the Orange County California area that use to make a kit. I had bought a horn wire kit from him that he also offered for a hollow steering shaft. Last I remember hearing he moved to somewhere in eastern Washington.
