Engine Firing Orders

I thought you guys might get a kick out of this. There's a guy on YouTube that posts videos demonstrating various engine firing orders. With flashing lights and some speakers, he simulates what different engines sound like. He's got a bunch of different simulations, from V4s to a straight-eight to a single-cylinder two-stroke and more.

Here's a link to the Flathead/Y-Block/Coyote V8 video. At idle and around 4,000 RPM it really starts to sound like one of these engines!

It's kind of amazing how different that sounds than the firing order used by the small-block Chevy and other V8s.

Re: Engine Firing Orders

Pretty neat to watch it change at RPMs. But the Flathead one didnt really sound like a flat head.
