Releasing a stud remover

I got the stud out. Now how do I release the round tool?

Clem, Usually tapping it against something hard (your vise) will do the trick.

What kind do you have? I have one that works like a drill collet. It's a real pain in the ass to get the stud out with this one.

Like Kube said. After backing off the top nut of course.

If it is the one that looks like a socket used two nuts jammed together.

Re: Releasing a stud remover

Put the stud in a vise and turn the remover in the tightening direction.

There are various types, What type do you have.

Thanks Mart. Job done. I was thinking that I had to reuse the stud. Not so and I hope that part of the task is done. I'll change the flex fuel line tomorrow and test start,
Clem
