1930 Sport coupe with hydraulic brakes 2 Attachment(s)
I have a 1930 sport coupe with hydraulic brakes and I believe it has a 1939 backing plate. There is a gasket on the rear hub that I have not been able to find from any of the vendors so don’t know if it is necessary. The first photo I attached shows it in its normal position and the second photo I moved it up so you can see it better. Does anyone know if they are available or if they are needed??

Re: 1930 Sport coupe with hydraulic brakes Gasket? It looks a lot like the inner race of the inner wheel bearing.

Re: 1930 Sport coupe with hydraulic brakes Wasn’t sure what to call it. The back is metal with rubber attached to it.

Re: 1930 Sport coupe with hydraulic brakes That might be an extra seal that was added because the seal inside of the axle housing was leaking.

Re: 1930 Sport coupe with hydraulic brakes Dave: there a only two seals on the axle side: one is in the hub that holds the grease in behind the roller bearing and that has a snap ring to hold it in place: the other is behind the axle nut washer to seal outer end of the axle: look at any parts diagram for the rear hub assembly: i do not believe that part belongs there: better check all axles to make sure they are put together correctly: hope this helps: sk
