Front motor mount fixed!

I ended up taking the pulley off to get access to the problem springs. It was a bumper clamp backing plate! Everything is back together now. This is going to be an interesting project! https://imgur.com/a/r7CC89g

How the heck do you stop those front engine mounts squeaking where they go through the cross member? I have 2 cars where that happens but only while I don't have my foot on the clutch. I suspect Flota Motor engine mounts contribute to it.

Synchro to stop the squeaking open up the center hole a little bit for clearance and put a little grease around the hole.
The Service manual shows a change in this flat spring.

Re: Front motor mount fixed!

I used a brass kitchen faucet threaded adaptor,it fit in the cross member hole and the shaft on the front mount passed through it,worked.
