Re: European Classic tires Some friends of mine in Europe used them and they are happy with them.
The VA dealer is closest to you. You should call them as it is afterall a vacation week. Happy new year |
Re: European Classic tires Performance Plus Tires and others in Calif., 3 on east coast. See company website for distributors. Specs say tires are bias tubeless design but can use tubes, DOT rated. If they are nylon, they may exhibit flat spots until warmed up similar to the Lucas tires made in Vietnam.
|
Re: European Classic tires I was very confused by that part of the ad: "Tubeless design (uses tubes)". Makes more sense if the tubes are optional.
|
Re: European Classic tires Model A rims are technically not tubeless style rims. The "uses tubes" may be a disclaimer for legal reasons.

Re: European Classic tires the ones at Speedway are 99. with free shipping.........
just sayin. |
Re: European Classic tires one question i would ask myself is why none of the major Model A supply houses (Eckler's, Snyder's, Coker Tire, or Bratton's) are not selling these tires?
|
Re: European Classic tires Macs-(ecklers) and Mikes carry them- you get to pay the shipping.............

Re: European Classic tires Hello,
I am a dealer for these tires in Maine and have sold about a dozen this summer. I have reports they drive well from a fellow who use the 21" tires on his '26 Model T. These are similar in design to the diamond tread Goodyears and softer riding than the Firestones. You can order these tires through me if you wish. I am listed as a dealer in both of those national ads. They can be shipped from their warehouse in TN. Thanks, David White Kennebunk, ME 207-590-0180 |
Re: European Classic tires For a limited time European Classic Tires is offering free shipping out of there TN warehouse.
19" or 21" black walls are $105. ea. shipped to your door. 19" or 21" white walls are $182. ea. shipped to your door. Thanks, David 207-590-0180 |
Re: European Classic tires I had four of these brand new on my 1928 Tudor and did not like them. They are nylon tires and will take a terrible set in just a couple of days. Feels like your wheels are square until they warm up. I changed the front ones for a big improvement and now I'm going to all four radials.
|
Re: European Classic tires rich, you are the first I have heard to complain about them.
Possibly it has something to do with the cars setup? also to compare to radials, like saying hamburgers and filet.............. |

Re: European Classic tires Quote:
Radial and bias actually has to do with the construction of the tire's cord body. The cords on a radial tire run straight across from bead to bead. On a bias tires the cords run on the bias, from bead to bead at an angle with each overlapping cord layer running the opposite angle. A radial tire has more flex thus the tube must be made out of a slightly different rubber compound to handle the extra flexing and resulting abrasion from scuffing inside the tire. A radial tire must always use a tube designated for radial use. Our product pages will indicate the type of tube. If it says for use in radial or bias tires it is a radial designated tube. |
