King Pins After removing the key? that goes through the King Pin should I be able to rotate the King Pin in the axle AND spindle?
|
Re: King Pins Yes/no depends on how long they have been installed. If they are tight in the axle that is a good thing means the hole is more then likely not wallowed out. I would put a large monkey wrench on the top part and work it back and forth till they come loose. I would not bother with penetrating oil, there is no real way it can reach the axle/king pin with out putting the whole end in a bucket of it and even then might not reach the area where it would be needed.

Re: King Pins Yes, it depends on how long and how well they fit when installed. Is the axle out of the car? With the pin out you can put penetrate in fluid in the hole and if the axle is out put it on the bottom of the king pin.its easier to drive it out with the axle upside down

Re: King Pins I assume there is no weight on the king pin. Unload everything. It should come out.
