insulated wire

In my stuff is a straight wire insulated by cast triangle-shaped insulation made of hard rubber. What is it please?

Most likely came out of a multi conductor cable. Insulation got deformed in the bundling of the wires to form a cable.

Horn wire that is inserted down the steering shaft.
