Unsaddled 3 Attachment(s)
The bracket which supports the Top Saddle on my 1930 Model A has completely sheared off, and consequently the Top Saddle is progressing steadily downwards through the panel. I've managed to peel back the trim, and am part way to removing the parts of the bracket. Does anyone know where I can get internal body parts of this type? Otherwise, I guess I'll have to fabricate something from steel plate.
(This the part which supports the Hood sticks on a Phaeton, and should pass through a nice round hole in the back wing, unlike the gaping gash I now have) Thanks, Steve |
Re: Unsaddled Why not weld it back together??

Re: Unsaddled If you call Bert's in Denver ( 303-293-3673 ) and describe what you need chances are very good they have it as a used piece.

Re: Unsaddled I'd weld it back together and maybe stiffen it. If you don't want to go that way, as said above, find another piece. Sammy Guthrie (Arizona Model A) is a good place to start.
