1933 Ford Headlights I have 2 sets of 33 headlights. One pair is all stainless steel and the other is stainless except for the internal front lip where the lense fits. This part is mild steel. Once the front ring is attached the headlights look identical. The external markings are also identical. Is one pair an earlier version or something?

Re: 1933 Ford Headlights I will have to look at my extras and see how they are made. DavidG will certainly know the answer to your question. Maybe different "cottage industry" manufacturer?

Re: 1933 Ford Headlights All of the original '32-'34 headlamp buckets that I've ever seen have un-plated plain steel inner rings where the reflector attaches. I believe that was by design to ensure good grounding. My guess would be that the pair with stainless rings have had them replaced.

Re: 1933 Ford Headlights I dont have any, but i have seen as you describe, completely in stainless. no loose ring but in one piece
It was here in Sweden, but most is with loose ring here to. But i have no Idea if It is à Europen thing, or early late? |
Re: 1933 Ford Headlights I have a couple of old 1933-34 headlight buckets. A magnet will attach to some and not others??
