Roadster top boot question
 

Would anyone out there happen to know if original roadster top boots all had the leather slots for the footman loops or if there were originally any boots that didn’t? I want to stay as authentic as possible and can’t seem to find a good answer on this. I’ve got a ‘28 and my top boot is a tan canvas repop, just don’t want to do anything to that’d be incorrect for the period as it works fine without the tie down straps too.
