As I recall, the flat head six was used in cars 49-51. C&G shows them in their catalog as 0HA-8501.They are listed as "NOS" (new old stock) so they may not have them. Find out by calling 800-266-0470.

The H was first used in 48 on the trucks before being used on both the cars and trucks until 51 as Supereal stated.

Over the past several years, there periodically are supposed sightings of NOS water pumps for the 226 H engine. They have never panned out. The pump needs to be rebuild. Cowboy John in Florida or Skip can do the job.

I know that this does not answer your question, but I though Barners might like to know what the Water Pump from the G Series looked like. They were used from 1941 to 1947. The Six Cylinder Motors were never offered in Australia, but in recent years, a few Six Cylinder Fords have been imported. A few years ago, I managed to track down a NOS G Series Water Pump for my mate's imported 1946 Super Deluxe Sedan Coupe. What do the Water Pumps from the H Series look like?

I just looked. Kanter Auto Parts lists them in their catalog. Do a search for "Kanter Auto Parts". They have a listing for 41 to 51 six cylinder.

These appear to be rebuilt units - nothing wrong about them, just not NOS.

Nothing wrong with a quality rebuilt pump, a NOS pump is going to need new seals anyway, ask me how I know!

The "H" model SIX was started in Mid to Late 1947 to 1952...

I have one from a 1948 F-4 Truck including fan.. I would be happy to sell it to you.. it needs a complete rebuild from Skip Haney..

I also have a complete H motor for sale.. I was going to put it in my 47 sedan, but decided to rebuild the original G model engine.. I was going to use it for a hot rod project.. Changed my mind.. I also have an F-4 Radiator.. :D
