Rear Wheels

When up on blocks with car running and in gear should both wheels turn at the same time or is just one the drive wheel?

Re: Rear Wheels

On jack stands, when the clutch is first released, usually both rear wheels turn. After they get up to the speed of the engine, the wheel with the most drag will slow down to a near stop while the other wheel speeds up. Very rarely will both rear wheels continue to spin at the same speed continually while in gear and the motor is running.

Re: Rear Wheels

These, as most, use a standard differential rather than any form of limited-slip or posi-traction. In other words only one wheel will drive and its the wheel with the least traction.
