Here is a pic of the late 32 and all 33-34 R&P.The banjo housing where it meets the torque tube is scalloped, not round like yours.
Here is a banjo housing on EBAY.click on the link and you will see the difference .

If the torque tube big end is round instead of scalloped, the rear end center section will take Model A ring gear and pinion.

Typed to slow again

Don't worry, the picture is clear enough to tell that it is not scalloped. The Model A gears are the correct ones. When you drop it off at the rebuilder ask if his has an example he can show you. I have the same project, who are you going to take it to for rebuilding?

CS..thinking taking rear axle to Tom endy and have it done correctly..I'm up near Bishop Ca. so its a trip for me ..car is a 32 tudor sdn probably has a 3.78 now and kind of slow maybe 45 to 50 mph range without reving to much...

I have heard enough good things about Tom that it would be worth the trip. You should check the ratio you currently have to get a baseline.

What you describe sounds like you currently have 4.11s which were very common.

Numbers are stamped on the banjo web(bottom side). That tells you what the gear ratio is unless of course it was changed which is doubtful.

Will check numbers on outside of banjo...for those who are not sure of difference between early 32 and late 32 33 34 see enclosed pic.... lots of difference ..
