World Wide Investments & Stephen Edwards. Do you know them?

I am selling a car on Hemmings and this guy called me.

Has anyone heard of them or dealt with them?

For $200 it sounds good, but I want to make sure they are not a scam. They only take checks which to me seems good.

You might do better and google them and check with the BBB.

I need a company like that to help sell a car I no longer need. I bet they don't operate outside the US.

It does sound good; that's what worries me.

If your car is good and the price is fair it will sell...putting it on Hemming is all you need to do.

Looks even more fishy after reading that. I'd bail out.

WoW! Theres a lot on their website. I think he may need some grammar lessons, he certainly says you (instead of your, you're) too much. May be legit, but who knows? He goes out of his way to convince one that he is not a scam, maybe too much so.

OK, based on the jalopy journal info I will keep my $200.

Look into selling on Ebay.

Old31, wise choice to keep your $200. I wouldn't go for that lengthy glossed over sales pitch at all.

I agree, Hemmings is the right place. Take lots of pictures, give as much information about the car as you can. How long you have owned, and what’s been done to it. Most important, “Price it Right”.

Last car I sold on Hemmings, we had three offers in two weeks. One from England. Good luck.

I agree. All you need to do. Be honest and price the car reasonable, what it is truly worth.

Do that and the car will sell itself.

I have done some looking around and................
Other Ford clubs are questioning the validity of World Wide Investments & Stephen Edwards and that is not a sign of something bad, but you would think, if it was something worthwhile, someone in one of these groups would have glowing reviews of how good they are.

In my view, when something sounds too good to be true, and I gotta pay $200 to find out how true it is, I will pass! I would suggest you do the same but it is your $200.00.
