1933 Ford Windshield

Is there a gasket/weather strip that goes between the windshield frame and the body?

It seems to me there should be something there to waterproof it.

Thanks!

A lipped rubber weatherstrip surrounds the entire windshield frame. They are readily available as reproductions from Dennis Carpenter and other vendors.

It takes a lot of cleaning and removal of the old rubber to clear the small channel the new rubber fits into. I was impressed with the seal sold by Bob Drake. It is possible Carpenter manufactures the seal for Drake???

I found that the sides have a narrow weatherstripping and a broader piece on the bottom.

Only for phaeton and roadster windshield frames; the rest are one piece sealing all four sides of the frame.
