Brake Shoe & Lining

What is the preferred type of lining? Hard or woven? Does woven wear faster?

I would go for the semi metallic composite material. I don't think anyone offers shoes relined with this material as a standard product but JG Brake drum will reline your shoes with semi metallic and arc them to your drums. It's worth doing and the increase in performance is impressive.

FF is what I use. Find someone to reline them and arch grind to match drums.. When mounted draw X's on the shoe face and check contact on face of shoe after driving for awhile??

Woven linings for original type ford mechanical brakes is the best material. Regards, Kevin.
