Join in on one of the metalshaping forums and ask your question. Two good ones are www.allmetalshaping.com or www.metalmeet.com

In college I took some auto body repair as a side course, instructor was old school who liked working in lead, he was very good at it and trained us well, still have my paddles, hammers, dollies and files, now if I can just get a oxyacetylene torch I'd be back at it.
As my project I removed all the bondo on my '57 Chevy and made repairs with lead.
I prefer working with lead then the bondo
But that was way back in the early '70's
I still have the car

To bad your so far away. I'd take care of what you need and enjoy it.

The black fender is from a 1919 Maxwell. I had another car fall off of the hoist and damage it . The Tudor had the body warped from Sandblasting and the 28 is from my Sport Coupe. Good solid fenders but damaged along the outer edge. It was pushed in about 3 inches. As you can see I like to metal finish.
