Model A Engine block with RC prefix Some help please? I have a Model A Engine that has the engine number RC59055 with the star only following the number, not before the R. Can someone tell me the meaning of this? Thank you, Roger ( It is a rough cast pad not machined and has no witness marks of any prior stamping)

Re: Model A Engine block with RC prefix Most likely this block has been re-stamped by a engine re-builder in the past. it was a common practice for re-builders to do this so that if the motor came back for warren tie work the would be assured it was the block they rebuilt.
