Gas Tank Sending Unit Wire on 1952 F-1:

I got a new wiring harness and the gas tank sending unit was only 51" long.My old wire was about 6' long?In a parts book I have it list 48-51 to be 110" long? Then next it lists 48-52 for a 51" long.I can't understand why this wire should be only 110" long for all 48-52 F-1's?????My truck is a 1952 F-1.Can somebody explain this.

Somehow it has to get back up to the gauge. In my new harness, the gas sender wire is wrapped into the rear body harness with several other wires including brake and tail lights. But I have 1 40 wagon. How was your old one routed?

This on a 1952 F-1 Ford Truck. It is routed from glove box over passenger door to gas tank behind seat which is close to 10 foot.

Then obviously the new one should do the same. Just a factory screw up. Glad they are going to make it right.
