Re: rims

Between the inside edges at the bead or flange and bottom of where the tire sits from one side to the other. If they are Model A (you don't say what kind?) they would be 21 or 19". But just because you get for example; 3-1/2 between the edges, only tells part of the story, the listed tires will be wider. To a point you can install wider tires on a rim, but only by so much before they get too wide.

Re: rims

Measure the overall diameter than take off enough to allow for the distance down to where the bead sets. The good news is that you will probably only be dealing with 21, 19, or 16 inch wheels so accuracy is not that important. Post a picture and someone can tell you what you have.

Re: rims

I have a 1930 pickup. The wheels on there now are 16'' and I have an extra set but not sure if they are 19 or 21. I would like to run the extra set.

Re: rims

30,31 have the large hub cap. 28-29 have the smaller hubcap. The edge is different at the outer lip of the rim.

Re: rims

28/29 have rolled beads at the edge 30/31 are flat.

Re: rims

Just one picture and the question is answered. Or the other way, what is the overall diameter of the rim?

Re: rims

The wheel measures 22 1/4'' from outside to outside. Where the tire would sit is 2 3/4'' wide.
I couldn't figure how to send a picture.

Re: rims

You have 21" wheels. The outer edge of the rim is rolled over, not a single layer of steel and just to confirm, the diameter of the hub cap hole is 2 3/4".

That says your rims are for a 21 inch tire. My advice would be to find the correct ones for your truck and trade or sell the 21 inch ones. I would run the 16 before I would run the 21's. Attached are pictures of what you should have on your truck. Post what hardware and software you are using for pictures and someone might be able to help you post pictures. It would be helpful if you added your general location and email to your profile.
