Good idea. Bugs me too when I see those. But if I decide to upgrade my old heaters I think I'll go with the direct replacements (BA15S base LEDs) behind the glass lens though.

I asked our local A dealer about led tail lights and he suggested I use a pulsating red light just like cyclists use. I thought that was a good idea.

Too bad they didn't show us a 'before' and 'after' of the LED lighted so we could see the results.

Woofa, I have a pulsator on my 'third' brake light. It flashes ~5 times then stays solid. The module is adjustable for how fast it flashes. Th light has RED LEDs inside.

Club members following me say it definitely gets your attention!

Consider getting two, if one runs out of juice you still have one that works. Recommended is getting ones with replaceable batteries, or spending a little more with rechargeable batteries that can be charged with a computer USB port.

Or just by the cheapest ones you can find, replace them as needed and throw the discharged one away.

Some of those bike tail lights are very directional. That is they are almost like a laser beam.
Aimed at the following driver they are quite annoying even when not flashing.

The ones we use, I think, came from Katmandu (an outdoors shop here). The battery lasts for yonks.
I lent mine to a guy with a disability scooter and never got it back, so it must have worked.
