Any 160-C owners out there??? If you happen to own a 160-C 1931 De Luxe Fordor (Slant Window)...
I am in need of a photo of the original Body Tags related to this body style for an upcoming article about the Evolution of Ford's 2-Window Fordor sedans. Body tags I am looking for are the following: 153-XXXXXXX (Briggs) 160-CXXXXXX (Murray) Please email me at [email protected] Thanks. Steve Plucker |
Re: Any 160-C owners out there??? Steve, just a thought. You might list the body number that would be on the tag too. For example my 1929 Briggs town sedan had a Ford number of 155B but the Briggs number on the tag was 199-XXXX. Makes you wonder how many restored or points cars with replacement tags are correct?

Re: Any 160-C owners out there??? The 160C I sold a couple of years ago didn't have a body tag nor holes for one (I checked inside the firewall to see if any had been filled and no). Likewise with my 160A. My 160B did have a tag. I assumed back then that the flat firewalls did and the indented didn't. Maybe a date related/certain body type change?

Re: Any 160-C owners out there??? Steve, I had a 160c and ran the data base for a while and have never seen a body tag on one to be honest...
