distributor bushings I need to re bush the distributor shaft (not Model A)
will likely need to turn down an oversize bushing. Are there any specific types of brass bushing best suited for this ...oil lite or ?? Dave |
Re: distributor bushings Have you tried to obtain the correct bushings for your application? If you cannot get them I would use the same material as you are replacing.

distributor. Pretty sure parts are not available. |
Re: distributor bushings Brass is entirely the WRONG material to use. They should be bronze, more particularly, Phosphur Bronze. I am assuming the bushes can be lubricated.
You should be able to buy either pre made bushes (We'd look at a bearing supply service) or buy a piece of bronze and make them. |
