Battery cutout size

Hello, I have a 1930 Model A pickup and I am looking for the dimensions of the battery cutout in the floorboards specifically the width of the opening. The opening I have is only about 3" wide and the battery cover I just received from Mac's has a much wider finger spacing.

Thanks for that - One of my jobs today is to cutout the floor for the car I'm working on. Very timely! Now to try to remember working in inches.:confused:
