Condenser Washer

Where does the fiber washer go at the end of the condenser, BETWEEN the condenser and the strap from the bottom plate OR on top of the strap? Brattons assembly illustration does not show it but I have one.

Thanks for any help! Still trying to find why my car backfires.

I found the answer in Synders catalog and I quote:
"For ease of installation, we recommend super gluing the fiber washer to the outside of the lower plate tab."
