Moto Meter rebuild

We were on a 100 mile tour yesterday and my Quail cap kept leaking small amounts of coolant while driving. Does any one have the following:
1. an exploded view of all the parts?
2. instructions for rebuilding this.
3. the best parts to use. The parts suppliers have several choices.
Thanks, Steve

Maybe all you need is a new radiator cap gasket?

Snyder's sells an over size (somewhat fatter) o-ring for when you close and lock the cap. I use one plus I added some generic twine around the o-ring channel too. This is for a Moto-Meter locking cap, but I believe the quail cap is the same design. Check Snyder's website for exploded views and instructions that might help you.;)

I hate to ask but, did the overflow puking continue or eventually stop? I had one of these caps, not on the car anymore, but if my radiator got overfilled, (on mine, liquid just above the top radiator tubes) it would, when hot, puke out coolant until the liquid kind of reached it natural level. Once that happened, no more puking! My car is a 1930 Ford.

Ditto re: DHZIEMAN.
Occasionally top off coolant, pukes out overflow, finds it's comfort level, drive away.
From talking with others, I find that this is common behavior among A's.
